Loft Conversion, Bexley
Project Overview: Swiftsure Electrical undertook a comprehensive loft conversion project in Bexley, ensuring that the existing house electrics remained unaffected. Our team executed both the first and second fix stages, running new cabling from the loft to a new consumer unit located under the stairs.
Key Standards and Features:
Fire Safety: We installed fire alarms on each floor of the property, and where necessary, a heat detector in the kitchen to ensure maximum safety.
Lighting: LED Fire-rated downlights were used throughout the loft to comply with safety regulations and provide energy efficient lighting.
Consumer Unit: An 18th edition consumer unit with RCBOs (Residual Current Breaker with Overcurrent) and surge protection was installed to enhance electrical safety and reliability.
Testing & Certification: Upon completion, the loft was thoroughly tested, and an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) was issued. Additionally, a Part P notification was made to the council to ensure compliance with building regulations. This process guarantees that all electrical work meets the highest standards of safety and quality, providing peace of mind for the homeowner.
Outcome: The project was completed successfully, with all electrical installations meeting the highest standards of safety and efficiency. The new loft space is now fully functional and seamlessly integrated with the rest of the property, providing additional living space without compromising on safety or electrical performance.
This case study highlights our commitment to quality workmanship and adherence to stringent safety standards in every project we undertake.
